This was actually amazing! I don’t typically love novellas but I was told that this prequel novella was essential before starting A Game of Malice and Greed and I’m SO glad I read this first.

I really enjoyed the world building and the magic system (affinities)! I loved all of the characters, especially Kyra, our female main character.
