Leather and Lark by Brynne Weaver

I loved this. I was nervous because I saw so many people say that they enjoyed Butcher & Blackbird more - which don't get me wrong, I LOVE that book as well. However, this relationship is obviously different.

B&B was a friends-to-lovers situation and you can see their relationship grow over time. In contrast, here, it's a marriage of convenience-ish so it's also forced proximity where they live under the same roof.

I love seeing the different personalities, and the grumpy x sunshine relationship - I think that's what truly makes me enjoy this book. I love a good grumpy x sunshine.

I must admit I did see the big thing coming. I was waiting for it and when it finally did, I was still going: "f*ck f*ck f*ck" so there's that.

I will say it wasn't as gruesome as B&B as I thought it would be. I was told food would be ruined for me, and I felt like it missed the mark, unlike the ice cream (even though cookies-n-cream is still my fave) in B&B.

I also felt that the spice wasn't AS spicey, BUT it was still really good and that bonus chapter nearly had me choking on air as it wasn't what I was expecting at all. IYKYK.

With that being said, I'm so excited for the final book of the trilogy. Fionn and Rose - I feel like I'm more excited about Rose than anything else for that one. I think she's gonna be a wild card.
