Delightful and magical, this felt like a true fairy tale. I also liked the narrative voice of the protagonist.

Not sure if it’s really a spoiler, but I loved every magic user in this book. They are all so unique, and each one feels like a complete character.

In fact, pretty much every character (with the exception of maybe some villagers) felt fully fleshed out, and I found I was able to remember who people were when they came back chapters later. Loved it.
