This is a second book in a series but I feel that it can be read as a standalone.
A second chance romance between childhood sweethearts that is also a regency spy novel. Sounds up my alley!
I'm not usually a fan of second chance romances but this one was done so well. I loved the angst and the reconciliation between Amelia and Pearce. The love between them was so pure. Plus the created quite a bit of steam if ya know what I mean.
This novel was enjoyable from beginning to end! Can't wait for the next installment.
I would recommend this for people who enjoyed the Maiden Lane series by Elizabeth Hoyt.
