This series is way too under-hyped for how good it is.
After the second book disappointment from Blood & Honey, House of Sky and Breath (unfinished) and even Iron Flame (unfinished), I appreciate so much more a gripping second book like this one. It is evident how much thought and planning Len has poured into the entire series to make the story so cohesive yet filled with unexpected twists and surprises, despite the difficulty of navigating the time travel paradox. My only complaint is the protagonist's frustrating unwillingness/reluctance to communicate with those around her.
Reading this book is like being taken through a journey to history. Love the historical details and diversity. So many hints in the first book have paved the way to how things unfolded in this book, and I can't wait to have more answers and my mind blown in the next book.
