Chasing the Prophecy by Brandon Mull

2.0

So I finally finished this book. And it was not bad. I do think the writing was weird. And at times annoying to read. But I liked to story, I liked the ending. I felt connected to the characters. And now when I grow up I want to be a wizard. I want to speak the magical language of Edomic. And be super cool and ✨magical✨

And yes I am aware that all of that sounds like I should rate it higher. But the reason I gave it 2 stars is that when I finished I didn't feel relieved or anything that bad. But I did feel like I just completed a hard project or a homework assignment. And I take that as a sign. I was invested. I did like the plot. I also liked the characters and the world. But I think it draged on.

Bottom line not a bad book. I get why people like it. But after I read the first book I thought that Mull could have made the word work and ended it. I don't think it would have been great if he did that, but maybe it would have been better
