Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake

5.0

I love stories about ghosts and their haunts, but rarely read novels featuring them. I glad I did with Anna Dressed In Blood, as this was a fantastic story. The backstory of Anna was setting up to be a typical tragic murder of a young girl, that turned out to be much more. Cas intent on "killing" Anna like every other ghost he's gone up against, realizes there is more to her, and to his own feelings about her. I love that you see him grow as a character who is a loner, but is forced to learn that you need others. The twist of the actual villain was to be expected, but it being obvious didn't matter when the entire story surrounding Cas and Anna (and their chemistry) was so fantastic and well written. Already ordered book 2!
