Knight in Highland Armor by Amy Jarecki
3.0
A grieving Highland warrior (Colin) has just buried his second wife and now needs a mother for his newborn son before he returns to the Crusades. He asks his King for a match hoping for someone matronly, perhaps an older widow that will raise his son but not his desires, but instead he's sent beautiful and outspoken Margaret.
A little dissapointed in this one. It was missing a lot of what I've come to love about Jarecki's writing. In particular her heart-melting male leads. I found the setup itself not the best platform for epic romance but was willing to go with it. But then with the way everything played out later on, the amount of page time apart etc, it just all fell flat for me this time.
3 Stars ★★★ A copy of this book was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
