I kind of like how they referred to mental illness as the monster.
They went into detail what it's like to live at the physch ward
This book makes me feel like mental illness is being romaticized
The main character is known as a murderer and Honestly I feel like it's just a sob story about tamar like this book feels like it was written by a depressed teenager with nothing better to do.
I definitely should have read the trigger warning because it goes into deep detail about self harm and other serious stuff
The only good thing about this book is how descriptive it is/ it shows you that when you go through things we all just need friends/ to live
You really start to feel for elle and the pain she goes through I really hope she gets better especially when elle gets sent to a different ward across the country away from everyone at lime grove elle didn't like being injected she ended up busting her head open
Tamar just was informed the iris the person tamar said she killed apparently committet suicide the coroners report said so
We learn about the suicide note iris left behind and how she did it. This broke my heart she had launched herself off the side of the dam wearing boots with stoned filled to the ankles
It was tamars fault that iris jumped she told iris to jump into the dam as a joke and that she'd follow iris but that ended up being a lie
I loved the character development with Tamar and how we learn more about iris's death the end of the book was better then this whole book much more description.
The author needs to make this 10x better it seems this whole book was rushed. It should of been longer and way more descriptive.
Jasper and alice both got healthy alice slipped back into anorexia but after a year she's out free!
Jasper started eating breakfast everyday and he got a apprenticeship and a boyfriend (how cute)
"Being alive is also so intensely beautiful and colorful there are days when I can laugh until I cannot breathe and my stomach bursts with happiness" Tamar
"I am proud because I killed my monster then destroyed the evidence and I annihilated the darkness that tried to kill me"
