The Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy by Laini Taylor
5.0
The writing in this book was engaging and made it easy to continue. Well, perhaps made it easy is not the right term. It was both easy and very difficult. I enjoyed the story being told, but it was difficult at heart to go on because you can sense that, while there is goodness and hope, there is also terrible betrayal coming.
The only problem that I had was that, when you think back on the story, there isn't a clear conflict. Normally you'd expect there to be a bad guy and a course of action against him. This book did not have that, though it did have several smaller conflicts that kept the story moving.
I am glad that there are more books in the series because there is so much left to answer.
