The Dawn of Everything by David Graeber, David Wengrow

There is a lot of good stuff here, especially when the book is critiquing of our usual narratives of human history. However, it is super clear from what political angle it is being written (anarchism) and it was incredibly frustrating for the authors to back the most tenuous and poorly reasoned arguments again and again in order to arrive at the conclusion they wanted and thought "virtuous". I don't even hate anarchism, just stop with the bad argumentation please.
Also the style is super smug and (intentionally?) obfuscatory and that pissed me off. Every second paragraph started by saying "we are free of bias" and then said the most biased things imaginable. Maybe they aren't partisan in the same way as everyone else - but they are still extremely partisan.
