Velvet Was the Night by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

4.0

This was a fun read about a young woman with a pretty sad life, finding herself in an unbelievable situation. Even though it is a work of fiction, it references a major historical event I had never heard of before. I thought it was cool to become aware of it and have the opportunity to research further. The end of the book references a Spotify playlist and that was very cool. Music is very significant in the story.
