A.S. King's work always has a unique story. I thought it was going one way and it shook me off track twice. It's a good read although, as usual, I don't know why the voice actor has to use racialized voices for the role of the Vietnamese character. Listening to the audiobook, if King wrote it this way... This book got a lot more problematic.
