This book is about three siblings that all live in the Netherlands.  Their mother has died and Isabel, the only daughter, has been the one living alone in the house and taking care of it.  One day, her brother Louis brings home a girlfriend, Eva who he ends up leaving at the house.  Isabel is not happy about it, but as they get to know one another things change.  I had heard so much about this book and I actually thought that it was going to be more graphic and steamy than what it was.  I thought that the sex scenes were actually well done and weren't cringe worthy.  I didn't expect it to end how it did and that was a nice surprise.  Overall a really good book and I can see why it was nominated for best book last year.
