Tis the Season for Tentacles is a sort-of sequel to Chloe's Christmas book from last year, All I Want for Christmas is Tentacles, and it was such a joy to see these characters again! Even though I hadn't read it until early summer this year, I have missed them greatly. What a wonderful, joyous addition this was!

Of course, I still adore Sasha and Khephren and it was so beautiful to see how their love is still so strong. I also love Luna and her little bot Rambo with his movie quotes. (I made a fun little game out of guessing which movie they were from.) But of course, the stars of this book are the somewhat stoic, grumpy, and realistic Najar and the new human they "invited" on board the Sleigh Belle after a minor mishap in the Vegas desert, Felix. I already loved Najar, but getting to know him made me love him so much more. He has such a big heart under that somewhat gruff exterior. And Felix was just a joy. He's so precious, such a gentle soul, a bit worn down by life, but with so much love to give. They're perfect for each other and watching them fall for each other made my heart so very happy.

Frankly, I could talk about how much I love Chloe's books for hours. For one, she's a master at writing spicy scenes of the tentacular variety, but that's not all by a long shot! I also love how wonderfully, whimsically creative she is. All her books have plenty of humor that has me giggling until my sides hurt, but also beautiful stories with so much heart. She also consistently blesses us with the most amazing characters you can't help falling in love with. I am so happy that I discovered her books this year and I can say, without a doubt, that she's my favorite discovery of the year.

If you haven't, by chance, read anything from Chloe yet, please do yourself the biggest favor and change that. You won't regret it.
