I don't know why it took me this long to pick this series up! After ACOTAR, I was craving more SJM and finally decided to read this. BOY WAS I MISSING OUT. While I can definitely tell this was her first work in terms of writing style being a bit more juvenile, it was such an amazing story! I immediately fell in love with Dorian and Chaol, Celaena is a bit standoff-ish and is kind of hard to love, but I know it gets better so I tried to keep an open mind about her, especially since I don't know as much about her backstory yet. I'm hoping all the hype is real as I go into book #2!
