Did I only buy & read this because I’d watched the Amazon Prime movie? (Yes)

To be honest after watching the movie my expectations were not high & I really just wanted an easy read to get me to the end of the year. Yet somehow this managed to be even worse than I imagined. It’s quite literally as if someone has just published a wattpad story (I would not be surprised if that is indeed its original form & if so it should have stayed that way). The overall writing was crap/bland, the character development also pretty shit and if I try to find one positive thing to say it would have to be that the overall plot was alright. 

May I learn from this mistake.
