I loved this book and series so much I don't think any review I write can truly do it justice.

Anne Bishop creates a world where there are 2 different species that are in the world. The Terre Indigene, and humans. Only twist is that the terre indigene were always there first, and humans were always at their mercy.

In the time of colonization, humans were just killed off until they found something they could trade for survival. Now the terre indigene and humans coexist, kind of.

Meg is a rare type of human, but finds herself immersed with the terre indigene, becoming "their Meg". As a blood prophet, her life is limited because of her addiction to cutting, and he cuts have been used for someone else's profit all her life.

With witty and downright funny dialogue, this story is still very serious and action filled. There is so much going on seamlessly and naturally. You can see the characters growing due to Meg's influence as you read.

I give up, it is awesome, READ IT.
