I have mixed feelings about this book.

The pros:
- two dynamic, romantic relationships
- solid world building
- interesting take on prosthetics
- captivating storyline that picks up about 40% of the way;

Cons:
- hard to read due to the poor editing
- writing is pretty basic and leaves a lot to be desired
- extremely focused on romance and marriage at the beginning, would have rather been introduced to characters and political discourse first.

I’ll read book 2 in the hopes of HEAs for both couples highlighted in book 1.
