Gosh I could not get behind how slow this book was. The first 130 pages was just buildup of characters and there were too many of them for me to get attached to any of them. Further it made it harder to remember who anyone was. The action that came later was drawn out, and focused much more on the psychological aspect of war than anything I would consider exciting. Overall the book was incredibly slow and boring. It felt like a history book with a hint of character development, though still a chore to get through.
