This was almost a 5 star read until the stupid argument happened near the end, which ruined it for me.

Chase is a grumpy, yet irresistible man who is still coming to terms with losing his ex-wife and best friend due to an affair. Winnie is grieving and has just been dumped by an awful man. She's angry at the world.

Both MC's have their own secret issues, but Winnie was annoying. In the beginning, i really felt for her, but she went borderline psychotic at the drop of a hat. They finally got to a point of understanding until she went and found a letter, instead of reading it all, she picked out key words and went scatty again (for the last quarter of the book). Even when Chase explained the context, she still wouldn't get rid of the woe is me act. I get it. She's traumatised, but come on, it was stupid, so easily avoided, and a completely unnecessary reaction.
