Plot = .75 (good not amazing. Just felt like some avenues weren't fully explored)
Characters = .50 (most of the characters are written to be not great people. I kind of felt the main trio needed more time to develop into characters I cared about.
Promise = 1 (I thought the Gothic approach to the house and the story behind it was excellent. You get a solid haunted house here.)
Engagement .75 (good, but there were times when we saw character povs that I don't care about.)
Efficiency .50 (rarely do I say a book needs to be longer....this one does. I just felt the end was rushed and I didn't feel satisfied with the climax.)
