Aru Shah and the Tree of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi

5.0

I actually finished listening to Aru Shah and the Tree of Wishes months ago but it takes me 6-months of business to conduct my review. I'm not a huge MG reader but Roshani was doing something when she wrote this series. I love how the stories celebrate sisterhood through bond. One of the many things I love about Pandava Quartet was the thoughtful portrayal of the young heroines. They were brave and curiously naive and smart and skilled. I just loved how multidimensional the characters are even the villains. Moreover, the biting remarks was just *chef kisses* magnificent.

I know the portrayal of Hindu mythology in Pandava Quartet was only one facet of interpretation but I like learning some of the stories. For a non-Indian reader, the mythos was easy to grasp. Prop to Roshani for subverting dated sexist traditions. Heck yeah.

12/10 would be sad when this series is over.
