My first 5-star read of 2024! I don't know why I thought this was a historical romp, but instead, it was full of pining, class differences, pining, the fight for women's suffrage, pining, and some really beautiful writing. I was sold on these two and appreciated their reasons for staying apart until you were screaming at them to get it together! I immediately put the next book on hold at the library.
