I wanted to like this book, but I think it simply wasn’t for me. I found the different character perspectives very jarring. I did not feel like they were all coming together to paint a whole picture, instead I felt like they were all loose threads, some of which never were resolved. I liked Zoe and Shiro’s chapter, that was interesting, l was also interested in Quentin’s struggles but neither of those stories really got a send off per-se. I know life is messy and not everyone gets an ending that makes sense, but when you’re reading a story, you kind of want to be satisfied and leave the characters where it feels right. Cleo and Frank were okay, I liked neither of them but I didn’t hate them exactly either. I just haven’t got much else to say about this. I did enjoy the atmosphere of New York and Italy. 🌿🌻
