The start to this series has a lot of promise! I loveeeee the Sicilian culture brought to life, the Wicked and their lore, and the female main character has some star moments. The audiobook/physical immersive read was totally the way to go with this one, especially with the pronunciation of the Sicilian phrases. Also, shoutout to the visual mouth watering dreams I had from descriptions of food at the restaurant! I do plan to continue in the series, and I have high hope it gets better and better.
