The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman

5.0

Lovely, lyrical, heartbreaking, and sweet. "The Ocean" shows us the wonders and dangers of magic, reminding us, as Gaiman's books often do, that bad things happen to good people. That life can suck but we can survive the ugliness and still find some beauty in the world. Loneliness and friendship run through the book, side by side with wonder and fear.
