Grass Kings, Vol. 1 by Matt Kindt
4.0
I am a Kindt fan from when I read Mind MGMT, and was excited to dive into Grass Kings. The first volume is good, very solid story telling, and enough intrigue with the characters to compel the reader to speculate on where the story is going to go and end up.
There were some flash back scenes in reference to the chunk of land the story takes place on/at, and I hope that it will be explained as to why this area has such a rich history. Or it may be that Matt is just saying things happen all the time, and time marches on and people who live there have no memory of that past, and we all know what happens if you can't recall and learn from the past.
Looking forward to reading Vol 2 and 3 that I have (well, am borrowing).
