I adore this story. Does it drag on a little long? Yeah. Does it also contain one of the most disturbing and alien antagonists in any fiction I've ever read? Fuck yes.

I seriously recommend trying to stick with this all the way through. The horror, both implied and explicit are absolutely phenomenal. This is Lovecraft at his best.
