1.5

Painfully written, characterization fluctuated chapter by chapter as though the author couldn't decide if the hero should be a morally gray, touch her and die, conquering king, or a cinnamon roll wife simp. Every chapter ended with some overdramatic thought from whichever character was narrating. The pacing was inconsistent. The ending was written so abruptly I had to read it three times to understand what happened.
