I listened to an unabridged version of this, and I think some of the jokes didn't translate to audio (the repeated conceit of different pronunciations of names especially). However, it had some absolutely lovely moments in which transformation happens. Not long--a wonderful book for a plane ride (or taxi ride or ride in the back of a lorry, stuck in an IKEA wardrobe).
