I managed to finish this and enjoy the reading, but I really didn't like the book. Or three novellas, which I think was how it was originally written. The first story is fairly good, the second is one creepy set of rape and power ickiness, and the third story is just baffling setup for future stories. The characters seemed entirely flat and uninteresting to me, the plot boring and poorly told. Just didn't connect for me at all.
