i don’t know.
the book hit home in so many ways. i appreciate how it talked about depression and anxiety and the emphasis on the fact that depression is a chemical imbalance is great. i found myself relating to many of craig‘s thoughts
but i hate how much it focuses on him being obsessed with having sex. i get it, he’s a 15 year old teenager and i think that’s what made it easier to deal with but it was very frustrating to read his thoughts when meeting girls and especially girls who he found to be pretty. that made me him so much less likable
not to mention the transphobia and dead naming as soon as craig found himself in the mental hospital
i’m thankful that the book doesn’t end on a hopeful note but why did it have to end with craig feeling better because he nearly had sex and found a girl who likes him back

i’m glad i read it because of the relatable description of anxiety and depression but i’m not sure if i would recommend it to anyone due to craig’s harmful thoughts
