The Rogue Not Taken by Sarah MacLean

5.0

I looooooved this book. Love love love love. Such deep character development. Such raw emotions. Heart tugs. Laughs. Goosebumps. I even cried but I suspect part of that is I’ve been up for 24 hours because I can’t stop reading.

I loved the heroine so much. She’s feisty and independent and a effect match for the hero.

I loved the hero, he’s emotionally damaged from his past but works through it with the heroine. Honestly by chapter 4 I was like this guy is a jerk! He’s funny but I don’t know if I like him. I love him. He redeemed himself to me.

You will get slight adventurous side plots (highwaymen! A shooting! Prodigal son returns home!) but sooooo much is on the main characters. Their emotions. Their history. Their forming and expanding of a relationship. The side characters are lovable too.

I am so sad this is a library book and not a book I own. Will definitely be adding this to my collection.
