No Rest for the Wicked by Kresley Cole

4.0

I like the author and this series and it is no wonder I like this book well.

Despite of a pattern and formula, this is an enjoyable read. Both the leads and all the characters are endearing.

This is second book in Immortals of Dark Series and follows the story of Sebastian Wroth, warrior and a vampire and Kaderin the cold hearted, a Valkyrie. Sebastian was a human warrior turned into vampire forcefully by his brother and does not want to live as a monster. Kaderin lost her blood sisters to a vampire that she spared in war so she is living a millennia in guilt and she hates vampires. She goes to kill him and she bloods him. From that fateful encounter, Sebastian tries everything he could to win her over. Kaderin participates in a hie (an immortal treasure hunt of sorts) determined to win the prize and he follows determined to win her.

Sebastian is such a gentleman, smart and thoughtful that you can't help but like him. And Kaderin is a badass heroine and is so cool as she starts to feel everything. Apart from the leads, Riora, Goddess who can be playful one minute and menacing the next, other valkyries made for favourite parts of the book. In addition to those, different tasks and backdrops in the hie, it was such an enjoyable read.
