Noah's Compass by Anne Tyler
4.0
I really adore Anne Tyler. Her writing captures human nature so particularly. I realize her books aren't for everyone, but I found this one to be up there with some of my other favorites from her. It isn't satisfying when it comes to the plot. But it's realistic and perceptive and just true. Liam isn't a hero or an antihero, he's a 60-year-old man learning what "retirement" might be, what happens to suppressed memories, and what love feels like.
