It’s still Anne, it’s still amazing, but after the sweetest ending of the last book, it’s also a bit of a cold shower, because there is no Gilbert in there. And Anne’s letters are “censored” (I was very amused by this…), so we don’t really get any insight into their relationship. I think that I went into this book with a wrong assumptions and that held me from enjoying it to an extent I could have enjoyed it if I knew. The little stories are some of the best, I think, but I was still waiting for a things that didn’t come and… yeah, I think I’ll definitely enjoy this one more on a re-read sometime…
