I feel like I've been dreadfully waiting for so long for a book like this one. I've been finally saciated.

Is it enough to say that it finally made me feel things? That I felt mirrored in this book, but not quite? Seen, but not exactly? Touched, profoundly so?

As the cover indicates, this is a love story. I'm not one for romance books, but were they more like this one, I wouldn't be claiming that any longer.
Regan and Aldo are incredibly fleshed out and oh, so hopelessly human and I love them so much for it. I love that their love's complexity and their own individual complexities weren't supressed or resigned (like I've seen in stories before). I love that they're one but they're two individual people at the same time and ugh, this book !!!!
Besides, Olivie's writing is transcendent and I just want to read everything that woman has ever written and will ever write.

[in not so kind terms, this is what I thought "normal people" would be like and never provided for me, after the reviews I've heard/read]
