Burn the Wild by Ava Hunter

My heart. Oh my heart. A few pages in, and my heart was already breaking for Reese. That sweet girl. I was exhausted for her and wanted nothing more than to be her friend and be on her side. All she wanted was someone to see her. She and Ford had a rocky start, but the way that man stepped up when he realized she needed someone? When he became a safe space for her? Swoon. I melted. I’m head over heels for Ford, who’s clearly battling his own demons. These two have so much pain and so many ghosts between them, and I loved the way they showed up for each other. The way neither of them had to carry those weights on their own. I love the dynamic between Ford and Reese, their banter, the way they support each other. This one brought all the feels–it hurt. But oof. I loved it so much. I’m obsessed with this Country Boy and his Birdie Girl.
