Extremely compelling fantasy set in a well fleshed out world based on South Asian cultures. The characters were all complex and very well written. Particularly the main character Priya who was flawed but amazing in how layered and relatable she was and Bhumika who was my favourite! 

I found the world immediately enthralling and the way the different politics, cultures, religions and magic within the world were gradually revealed made it feel very real and immersive.

Can't wait for the next one!
