An Excellent Mystery by Ellis Peters
3.0
A decent addition to the series, but not quite on a par with most of the previous books. I figured out the mystery part of it almost immediately, and I suspect anyone who's gotten this far in the series will too, so it's irritating and somewhat inexplicable that it takes the characters so long. It's still a good story, but the drama feels overdone. I think this is the first one where nobody is actually murdered (aside from the hundreds of off-stage deaths in the ongoing civil war). 3.5 stars.
