Martyr! is among one of the best books I've read in the last few years. Akbar's writing is poetic, compelling, and relatable. I was not expecting Martyr! to be so philosophical but I loved it. The exploration of what life means and what it means to live a good life was deeply moving and engaging. I really hope he writes another novel as Akbar is now at the top of my list for must read authors.
