Emotionally Mature Men FTW!

Full disclosure: this book made me feel too much so I’m a little mad at it. But after thinking on it, I have decided not to punish this book for making me experience emotions, and thawing my cold dead heart, so I’ve rounded to five stars because I am such a softy (shut up, I am).

This hero by himself deserved all the stars. He was the strongest, sweetest and most emotionally available hero I’ve read in forever WITHOUT seeming contrived. Cameron Wilder is the GOAT.
The heroine was going through a lot and this was a heavier read (Karla always brings the feels) with themes of parental loss and emotional abuse, but there is a kitten so it’s balanced.

If you’re looking for high angst, insta-attraction, class difference, small town romance with a capable blue collar hero who is all in but also stays patient waiting for his lady to get there; and has lots of great side characters, I recommend this highly. But bring your Kleenex
