Totally delightful with an edge of darkness and mystery. I really enjoyed the different take on the Beast character as well and the sentient House...
The only thing I disked about it were the heroine's thoughts occasionally written in italics, I thought this was unnecessary considering it was a close 3rd person POV anyway, and found the 'asides' distracting. Bryony was a fun, sarcastic, no-nonsense heroine.

Now I realise that this is the first Beauty and the Beast retelling I've read and I should really get my hands on others...
