The Woman in Me by Britney Spears
5.0
First off, not a HUGE fan, but I enjoy some tracks and followed her story through the media over the years. This book surprised me in so many ways. I was expecting bubble gum, candy coated memories - but I soon became engulfed in darkness, pain, scandal, rage, trauma, and later left with hope, healing, and feeling empowered. No shit. One of the best books of the year! Fan or no fan something in this book will connect with you. I’m not a mother, but I felt a feral protective community vibe for her custody battles. God Bless Britney Spears.
