Sci-fi horror has become my new fav genre to read, thanks to Meg Smitherman. The way she writes is a whole experience. It’s like you’re there - living it, feeling it - right alongside the characters.

𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘪𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦. 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦. 𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦.

Swallowed was a thrilling ride. I could feel my heart pounding in anticipation as the story progressed and the mysteries of the Planet unfolded. And yes, there was some mind blowing spice! Ben and Jill were a great match. She’s the nerdy botanist and he’s the brawny military leader. The “yes, sir” / “good girl” dynamic worked really well with these two.

“𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭,” 𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘦𝘤𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵. “𝘠𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥,” 𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘭-𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦. “𝘚𝘰 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵. 𝘚𝘰 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵.”
