trying so hard to stop the tears from coming :,) this book was truly an emotional, heartbreaking piece. i really enjoyed the semi nonlinear narrative and the overlapping of the perspectives of both joe and norma throughout the novel. this was so beautifully written and also made me put nova scotia as a bucket list travel destination :) be prepared to cry a lot for this book..it will hurt you (in a good way). 4.5/5 stars
