I wish I could get my money back on this, I’m honestly surprised I finished it. Just doesn’t really add anything to the story at all, apart from a new character we might see in the next book. Mak was the most unoriginal character, like a wannabe copy of Kai but apparently more moody? A rushed and boring romance in which we already know what’s gonna happen, so not much stakes. I’m just surprised she made a novella drag more than the first book.
