Detective thriller, with the twist being the detective has a buddy whose a psychologist, and is great at getting people to talk, and detecting odd behaviours. If you want a book that you can 'solve' along with the characters, this one doesn't really go along with that, which is a little annoying. But if you like a good procedural story, this one flips around several lines of enquiry, a couple of Chekov's guns and a gastronomy tour of Milo Sturgis's favourite restaurants.
