White Horse Black Nights by Evie Marceau

4.0

I'm giving it 4 stars because it kept me entertained, which is difficult.

I'm not a fan of enemies to lovers, but this one doesn't glorify it. It acknowledges the relationship as toxic, both characters agree their relationship is toxic and proceed anyway.

The naked horse ride over 20 days could have been more realistic if the author added some weather effects - rain, wind, sun burns, serious chaffing etc. Without those elements, the ride felt a little flat.

Overall I liked it. I'll probably read the sequel, still on the fence. At no point in the book was I emotionally attached to any characters except maybe the fae unihorse monster. Kinda want to read the next one just for that dude.
